Wake Forest NC Stake

Special Interest Groups

How it Works

Building friendships across ward boundaries through shared interests

Our Purpose

Foster deeper connections and friendships between members of our Wake Forest stake. Groups cross ward boundaries and bring people together around common interests and hobbies.

How Groups Work

Each group is driven by an individual stake member with a niche interest who is willing to volunteer as host. The stake provides communication support and this website but does not officially endorse or support any specific activities.

Spiritual & Community Focus

We encourage group leaders to include a brief spiritual message at the beginning of each gathering. We also warmly invite leaders to welcome friends from our community who may not be members of our faith to join with them.

Using Church Buildings

Church buildings are available for group activities, subject to a few guidelines.

  • Buildings may not be used for any commercial purposes (buying or selling) or homeschool groups
  • Official church activities always take precedence
  • The church assumes no safety liabilities related to the groups — please take all safety precautions to protect members of your group
  • Schedule your group on the building calendar through your ward's building representative
  • You are responsible to arrange access to the building and ensure you leave it cleaner than you found it, with all doors locked and lights turned off when you leave
